The Principal’s Ideas of Managing the School

1.      Take care of the students wholeheartedly:

Help the students learn happily and grow up healthily with our expertise and love, and cultivate them into children of five virtues.

2.      Respect teachers reasonably:

Esteem teachers’ expertise and opinions.  Communicate with them democratically and encourage them to build a good learning environment.

3.      Cooperate with the communities to develop the school:

By means of local persons and resources to achieve the education revolution.

The Brief History of the School

        This school was established in 1926; it was twice renamed and remained as
                       Nan-An Elementary School in August 1968.  The previous principals’
                       elaborate  design and the school members’ efforts had upgraded as well as
                       built a good teaching environment.

        Students of the school lived in seven different villages, including Hai-liao,
                       Gang-kou, Guan-liao, Nan-an, Gang-wei, Zhong-rong, etc.  The traffic was
                       inconvenient, and social resources were insufficient.  Luckily, the students’
                       parents were zealous about education.  School members also worked hard to
                       overcome predicaments and to apply for subsidy to improve the teaching
                       environment.  They also made efforts in beautifying the school environment
                      to influence students’ dispositions implicitly.

                        students’ interpersonal relationships.

Characteristics of the School

★ Emphasize democratic administration and teamwork.

★    Modernized equipments:

Every classroom is provided with electronic audio and visual equipments.  The library is furnished with  air conditions and incoming books.  A computer classroom is settled and there are class computers.

★    Emphasize normalized teaching and individualized learning: carrying out computer and English courses

from the 3^rd grade to the 6^th grade.

                    ★ Organize various clubs, for example: chorus, orchestra, flute, volleyball, kick boxer (tae kwon do), Chinese calligraphy, etc., and have gained not a few medals in competitions.

                    ★ Fulfill a green and beautified school, garbage classified, and resources
                         recycled.
